Hygiene inspections
In a hygiene inspection, the spatial and structural, equipment-specific and person-specific (personnel hygiene) conditions are evaluated. Product and personnel routes are also discussed.
The basis for the inspection may be:
- the General Hygiene Ordinance
- industry-specific hygiene guidelines (e.g. guideline for large kitchens)
- customer-specific requirements agreed upon with the customer
Safety package
Sampling is possible within the framework of external hygiene and/or plant inspections. The following types of sampling can be performed:
- Food sampling
- Contact sampling
- Airborne bacterial count determinations
These samples are sent to the testing office of the Lebensmittelversuchsanstalt for analysis (organoleptic, microbiological or chemical analysis).
Significant synergies arise for the customer, meaning cost savings. Within the food safety package, the LVA offers its customers comprehensive services that can be summarized with the LVA motto "everything from a single source".
Plant inspections
Plant inspections within the framework of quality seal programs, such as the program for the AMA quality seal, are product-oriented. Production methods, quality and the safety of the product stand at the focus.
The topics in the inspection may be:
- the plant's own inspection system
- the system for ensuring and tracing the raw material origins
- compliance with specific quality requirements In the case of the AMA quality seal, the corresponding AMA quality seal regulations apply.
External inspections
External inspections are required for the food industry for fulfillment of the statutory obligations for due care and as a supplement to plant self-monitoring. It is possible to subject one's own production process to continuous evaluation as well as to have suppliers inspected by independent experts.
External inspections increase the competence of the company with respect to purchasers, public authorities and consumers. We are happy to perform such inspection visits and audits on behalf of our customers.
